I guess i was preferential to their angstier sound (esp at the time) and the only exception felt pretty generic Then i realized why and now i can’t unhear it. The only exception is one of paramore's best songs I just heard yellow and i was like hey, that’s familiar I understand that people hate the only exception because it's not as similar as their usual music, or for the fact that the person who this song was written about turned out to be a complete idiot, but i can't understand why it is so overhated.
It’s understandable why hayley hates this song as she truly thought her ex was “the only exception” and he turned out to be just like the others
And like others here say, this is an incredibly vulnerable and romantic song as opposed to any of the other love songs paramore has come out with. The only exception appreciation so, hayley hates it, a lot of fans seem to hate it (see least favourite paramore songs threads) but….i love it I think it’s one of their top ten songs and easily one of the best on bne Anyone else still love this one, or am i alone?
